Art helps us to reflect, understand and process our experiences.
The COVID-19 crisis has affected many in our community, including the arts and entertainment industry. It’s important that we support our local creators who contribute to the Territory’s rich culture and tell our stories.
Pandamonia is an art exhibition hosted by the Federal MP for Solomon Luke Gosling to share the talent of our local Territory artists with the Top End community.
Submissions are now open to all Territory artists and creators to submit an original piece of art created in response to COVID-19.
A shortlist of selected pieces will be chosen for an exhibition open to the public that will run through July at the Darwin Entertainment Centre’s Gallery.
26 May – Submissions of original art by Territory artists open
26 June – Submissions of original art by Territory artists close
3 July – Pandamonia Exhibition opening night with over $5,000 prizes announced and People’s Choice voting kicking off.
For submission form, drop off details and further information, email: email@example.com or call 8928 0180.Aug 07 2020

I wish to invite you to participate in Labor’s Swimming and Water Safety Roundtable with myself and Matt Thistlethwaite, Labor’s Shadow Assistant Minister for Treasury.
Last year 291 people drowned on our coastline, pools and waterways and the number of drowning deaths in Australia has been increasing in recent years. The Northern Territory has the highest drowning rate per capita in Australia. Eight people drowned between 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017.
Labor wants to get to the bottom of why this is occurring and develop policies to improve the teaching of swimming and water safety and keep Australians safe around water.
There are many Australians that do not receive adequate swimming and water safety education. The water safety education Australian children receive depends on where they live and in some cases on their parents income level.
A Shorten Labor Government is seeking your input into the development of a stronger national swimming and water safety strategy.
Please RSVP for the roundtable by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (08) 8928 0180. Once you have RSVP’d we will email you an agenda including the issues we will be discussing at the roundtable.
I look forward to seeing you at the roundtable.Jul 21 2017
