REDEVELOPING TRACY VILLAGE SPORT PRECINCT

19 April 2025

A re-elected Albanese Labor Government will put $3 million towards redeveloping the Tracy Village Sport Precinct.

This funding will secure the future of baseball and softball in the Northern Territory, enable Hellenic Athletic Club to finalise plans for a permanent home and lighting for cricket and AFL at the precinct.

This election commitment is on top of the $3 million invested by the former Territory Labor Government for a permanent home ground for the Hellenic Athletic Club, and the $1.2 million of Federal Government funding secured by Football NT to build female change rooms within Tracy Village.

The Tracy Village Sports Precinct was first created as a venue for workers carrying out the clean-up and rebuilding of Darwin following Cyclone Tracy.

Consistent with past practice, election commitments will be delivered in line with Commonwealth Grants Rules and Principles.
